 A team from the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry (Anders Oskal, Elna Sara). EALAT (Dr. Robert Corell, Anders Oskal) and the Association of World Reindeer Herders (Mikhail Pogodaev) are in Copenhagen attending COP 15, the crucial climate negotiations being held over these two weeks, while the world is watching. As part of the Sami presence (several Sami politicians are also in attendance), nearly 30 Sami youth from the youth organisation Saminuorra are also participating and activities are centred around a several lavvu's erected by Bulet Eco Siida, from Kautokeino / Guovdageaidnu. The lavvu's have served as a venue and meeting place for issues connected to climate change, reindeer husbandry and the EALAT project. More stories and pictures to follow.
