Reindeer Husbandry Must Adapt: Dr. Robert Corell in Kautokeino |

The renowned climate scientist (who has been engaged by the Sami University College and the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry) and advisor to Al Gore adviser will be in Kautokeino February 1st to give a lecture about how the climate will change societies and create a completely new situation for the world over the course of the next 150 years. Dr. Robert Corell also look at how the changes will impact Finnmark and how to adapt this in the future.
"Once we know how climate change is, we can also prepare us for how we should adapt ourselves to this. For example, how will reindeer herders adapt to this new situation "
The lecture is open to all and will also be sent directly to the Sami College website here. Corell will be in Kautokeino to participate in the development of the new institute "UArctic Institute for Circumpolar Reindeer Husbandry", which is an extension of the climate research project EALÁT . Dr Robert Corell is an adjunct professor at the Sami College and adviser to the International Center for Reindeer Husbandry.
