Oskal, Magga to Attend IPY Field School |

ICR Director Anders Oskal and employee Anna Maria Magga will be attending the IPY International and Interdisciplinary IPY Polar Field School 2009. the Field School is a cooperative efort between IPY Norway, the University of The Arctic, The University Centre in Svalbard and The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS). The entire School runs from June 15th – July 3rd. Oskal and Magga will be making presentations related to the EALAT Information project - Reindeer Herders Voice. Magga was a participant in the Chukotka seminar. Since its announcement, there has been a large response to the Field School, and nearly 300 participants will be taking part from all over the world (See story on the IPY Norway site).
