Ellen Inga Turi, who recently completed her MA degree at the University of Oslo (Living with Climate Variation and Change; A Comparative Study of Resilience embedded in the Social Organisation of Reindeer Pastoralism in Western Finnmark and Yamal Peninsula) has recently started as an EALAT Phd student. Turi's research sits within WP 4 (Social and economic adaptation - institutions and governance as constraints and opportunities) and she will be continuing research within the themes of her MA, namely social organisation, resilience and adaptation in reindeer herding communities, with a focus on Finnmark, northern Norway and the Yamal Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia. Turi's host institution will be the Sami University College and the University of Umeå and her supervisor is Carina Keskitalo. Funding for her Phd is primarily provided by Sparebank En Nord-Norge.
