The Association of World Reindeer Herders and the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry recently returned from a visit to Evenki reindeer herders in North East China. Evenki in this region are part of the ancient reindeer herding peoples of the Taiga of Inner Asia, which is believed to be the birthplace of reindeer husbandry.
