| Diehtosiida Opens, ICR & WRH Present |

 The new building housing the Sami University College called Diehtosiida was officially opened last week in Kautokeino & Guovdageaidnu. The Opening was attended by representatives of the Sami parliaments of Norway, Sweden and Finland and the Minister of Agriculture in Norway was the highest level government representative present. The Ministry of Agriculture is the highest administrative body that regulates reindeer husbandry in Norway. The opening was followed by several events and an academic conference. Johan Mathis Turi in his position as Chair of ICR was present along with all the employees of ICR. ICR was also featured in a short film made about Diehtosiida that was made by KautoFilm, a local film production company. You can watch this video here.
